Click For University The University Of Jammu and Kashmir, Journey Started in the year 1948 and later this University split in 1969 into two parts; one The University Of Kashmir which is located at a beautiful and calm place Hazratbal Srinagar and another named as University Of Jammu Located at the place of Baba Saheb Ambedkar Road Jammu Tawi. This University Of Kashmir where welcome get a scenic place between the popular Dal Lake on its east side and Nigeen Lake on its west side. The main campus of this University covers a vast area which is around 247 acres. This ranked University of Kashmir have three distinct zones named namely 1. Hazrat Bal Campus 2. Naseem Bagh Campus and 3. One is residential Mirza Bagh Campus. By day to day more and more planning about the strengthen of this education hub and takes more additional land at the place Zakura and named this by title Zakura Campus to give more beautiful and calm environment for very high level academic education. campus tour
Day to day University of Kashmir expanded this education hub growth and started a satellite campuses at Anantnag which is known by name South Campus Anantnag and another one at Baramullah North Campus and third one at Kupwara namely Kupwara Campus. These campuses are to establish for giving better education in remote areas. The students who can get education at their doorstep and this increasement of campuses also get more seats in courses. If main campus allot 60 seats in education department or in history department, due to establishment of more campuses these seats also increase automatically and students get their seat according to their merit. The University Of Kashmir opens also Sub-Office at Jammu for student needs of outside state.
The University all time focus on giving better environment for students so that they can get education with better atmospheric conditions. University of Kashmir runs number of departments like Physics Department, Chemistry Department, Physical Education Department, Botany Department, Zology Department, Library Science Department, Management Department, Finance and control Department, Social Science Department and another so many department run by the University Of Kashmir. This University Runs also Distance Education Department and under the Director Of DE.
